DISPLAY this Jan 17th until Feb 21

Ladies and Gentlemen...

Coming this Sunday...
At the St Jacobs Outlet Mall... the Ontario Brick Builderswill be displaying MOCS, Classic Space, a Train Layout and anything else anyone wants to bring. Set up starts at noon on the 17th.

We would love for you to join us.

Jan 17th until Feb 21
St Jacobs Outlet Mall, 2nd Floor.
Right beside Toy Building Zone (the Lego Store)

We are asking ALL Afols to bring in your creations, big or small from vignettes to sculptures, collectibles to MOCs, historical to sci-fi, and everything in between. Whether you are old or new to the hobby, have tons of stuff, or just a little. I really want to stress the fact that EVERYONE is welcome. Please invite any other adult you think might enjoy this sort of thing.

We will be leaving our display up for a full month in a fully locked down empty store with windows to the hallway. The display will be viewed from the hall by the spectators, that way your items are relatively safe from questioning or light fingers without the need of babysitting them. Of course, anything you display is displayed at your own risk, but no one except those that display will be allowed in the room for set up and tear down, and only when I am on site. I will be on site at least every Sunday, BUT you can bring your stuff other days if this coming Sunday does not work out for you, please contact me via email to make a date.

Please be clear on this. This is NOT a store event. Do not ask anyone from the store to open, unlock, retrieve your items, they do not have a key and have been instructed to refuse because they will not know if the items are actually yours. There is no obligation to display the whole time, but you must arrange alternate dates with me. Thanks for respecting this because this protects your items and I would like the chance to do this event again.

Some points to ponder...

If you just want to come see the display, you might want to wait for a Sunday, because that is the only day I guarantee that the trains and monorail will be actually running.

If you are an AFOL and you think you might want to come see the display and do some shopping at the same time, I would wait for a week or two, our stock at the store was hit hard by the holiday rush, and we are patiently waiting on shipments from LEGO.

As well, if you come out to display with us on Jan 17, or pick up your stuff on Feb 21 ... please join our local LUG for dinner for our monthly Whackolug Meetings. More info here... http://whackolug.blogspot.com/

I really would love to see a great turn out for this.
If you have any questions,
PLEASE feel free to ask.

Awesome Show!

Once again, under the great organizationals skills of Dave... the O.B.B., rtlToronto, and ParLUGment joined together for another wonderful day of LEGO goodness.

Read more about it here. http://news.lugnet.com/org/ca/obb/?n=153

Thanks Dave, for continuing to organzing this event. It was great to see everyone.

A personal thanks to Chris, for hauling ALL of my bricks and tables. And another thank you to both Abby and Robbie for helping me set up my layout, and for helping me pack it all up.

Personally, Im sick of micro (for a bit) and need to venture back to minifig scale, I have a whole new layout planned, and I cant wait to get it started.

Hobby Show 2007

I would like to personally thank everyone that came out and helped to promote our little addiction. This was our 5th annual show, and it truly takes everyone that was involved to make it the great display it was. My name may go on these posts, but the event is truly a combined effort of many.

Hobby Show 2007 - Missing from picture - Jeff VW and Allan

So many thanks to you all ....
- to our special guest, Steve Witt, for not only putting up with all us Canucks but for making the effort to join us. It was a pleasure to have you with us.
- for all the behind the scenes work from Allan, who deals with the "management"
- to all of you that took the "Mocs that Move" challenge, Chris, Jason, David
- to all of you that can be depended on to make the effort even when life gets in the way, Jeff, Oliver
- to those of you that spent many hours on the road to be with us, Bill, Jason, deborah
- to those that came to hang out with us, Calum, Derek
- to each and everyone of you that spent your time, and effort displaying the wonderful creations you all made.... (just to mention a few)

Allan (The always amazing crowd pleasing CNtower, plus I have a soft spot for Mr PotHead.)
Chris (Stunning Walker, and a much better car drop than my own, oh yeah, way to go on breaking the axle joiner and nearly killing an innocent by stander.)
Jason (Polished perfection as usual, but by far, the Hoberman's sphere motorized was beyond amazing and I always love it when JunkBot makes an appearance.)
deborah (your architecture delights, and the micro is breathtaking, and you are risking J's polished crown, or is that a tiara?)
David (Loved the vintage pieces, plus last minute build turned into kickbutt Moving Moc)
Jeff (Your spaceship was a hit, and the castle is an amazing Moc in progress),
Oliver (Gorgeous stained glass Christmas Lantern, I may just have to steal that idea!)
Keith (Thanks for bringing in the technic models) and
Bill (while we all missed the Cathedral, your logo was a wonderful addition to our display)

But most of all, I want to thank everyone for the help they gave me, be it bringing extra mocs to fill up the tables, treating me to lunch, or coffee, (or homemaker cupboards) plus all moral support, good laughs, and of course the outstanding company. Thanks to any of you that "manned" the kids table, or fig sales, which will be going towards buying more table cloths.

Hope to see you all next year!

Cheers!
